Macadamia Castle Fun
Kindergarten and Year One students from Iluka Public School excitedly boarded the bus and travelled to The Macadamia Castle at Knockrow last Friday. One of the highlights of the excursion was to board the Macadamia Train to enjoy a tour of the wildlife park. Students were later thrilled to have the opportunity to hand feed domestic and native animals such as goats, sheep and emus and wallabies. An educational and interactive presentation explaining animal differences through fur, feathers, and skin group types was followed by an exciting bird show.
Miss Essery and Mrs Gardner were proud of the students’ behaviour whilst at the Macadamia Castle and impressed by their listening and questioning skills throughout the presentations. By all accounts, it was a quiet trip home as the young children rested after their exciting day out.
