Iluka makes a Big Impact
The importance of small schools was strongly felt at the Big Impact concert held at the Saraton Theatre last Wednesday night. Iluka Public School was proud to participate alongside eleven other Clarence Valley small schools and showcase the many talents of our students. For many students, it was a chance to catch up with peers from other local schools and the uniting spirit and strength of small schools was clearly felt on the night. Some extremely entertaining performances were delivered, not least the dance item performed by our own students. Many of the Iluka Public School students involved had not danced or experienced choreography, costumes (or audiences!!) before and they worked together beautifully to deliver an energetic and fun performance. Well done to these students who sacrificed lunch times to practice and a special mention to Ashlen and Shannon who shone through the sea of girls! Thanks to Mandy for her clever choreography and dedication to bringing the arts to our students and well done to all students from the Clarence Valley small schools for making the evening so entertaining and enjoyable.
