WELCOME BACK 2021
Dear parents and community members of Iluka Public School.
The start of school for 2021 is fast approaching!
Starting from 8.30 am on Friday 29 January 2021, your child will be reconnecting with friends, spending quality time in classes and getting to know our dedicated teachers.
We also look forward to welcoming our new families and hope that you can join me on that first day for a ‘Welcome to School’ morning tea around 9.20 am outside the school library.
Communication and involvement are extremely important to us at Iluka Public School. Please be sure to visit our school website at ilukapublicschool.com to view our weekly newsletter as well as ‘Like’ us on our Facebook page. All updates, current events and opportunities for you to get involved in our school community will be posted on these sites.
Due to current COVID-19 guidelines parents with students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 will only be allowed into the school to drop off their children on the first day of school.
Looking ahead… Mark your calendar for our Class Meet and Greet the Teacher Week (commencing February 8). All are welcome.
As part of our finance computing system, every student will be invoiced with their school fees within the first couple of weeks of the school year. Once the invoicing is done, a copy of the invoice will be sent home for parents. The school fees in 2021 will be $30 per student or $50 for two or more students from the same family. Paying school fees is voluntary, yet it is vitally important as it provides the students with current resources and keeps the school environment maintained.
School will resume for all staff with Staff Development Days on Wednesday and Thursday, January 27 and 28.
We look forward to the return of students in Kindergarten to Year 6 on Friday 29 January
Wishing you a positive, productive and happy year.
Mr Phil Bradmore
